The Travelling TeaRoom Boutique began with a simple belief: beautiful things, meaningful connections, and hospitality have the power to bring people together.

People often ask me how The Travelling TeaRoom Boutique began.

The truth is, it started long before there was a website, a collection of jewellery, or shelves filled with tea wares and gifts.

For more than 30 years, I worked in the financial industry. I enjoyed helping people, building relationships, and guiding clients through important decisions. It was a rewarding career that taught me the value of service, trust, and connection.

But throughout those years, there was another part of me that never disappeared.

I have always loved beautiful things. Not because they are expensive or fashionable, but because of the way they make people feel.

I have always believed that beauty has the power to create joy and connection.

Hospitality has also been woven throughout my life.

There is something special about gathering people together, sharing conversation, creating welcoming spaces, and helping others feel seen and appreciated. Whether around a dining table, over a cup of tea, or during a special event, those moments of connection have always been important to me

.In 2015, I decided to bring those passions together and launched The Travelling TeaRoom.

What began as a mobile afternoon tea experience quickly grew into something much more. I hosted tea events, private gatherings, presentations, and community experiences. Along the way, I met hundreds of wonderful women.

As I listened to their stories, I began to notice something.

Women weren’t simply looking for tea.

They were looking for connection.

They were looking for inspiration.

They were looking for experiences that made them feel special.

And they were looking for beauty in their everyday lives.

Over time, guests began asking where I found the teacups, the serving pieces, the accessories, and the special touches that appeared at my events.

They loved the details.

The more I listened, the more I realized that what I truly enjoyed was curating.

I loved discovering unique pieces and imagining the woman who would enjoy them.

Gradually, The Travelling TeaRoom evolved

Today, the boutique reflects everything I have loved throughout this journey.

Tea remains at the heart of the business because tea has always been about bringing people together.

But surrounding that tradition is a thoughtfully curated collection of jewellery, accessories, gifts, stationery, tea wares, and treasures designed to help women celebrate themselves and others.

Every item is selected personally.

I don’t purchase products simply to fill shelves.

I choose pieces that tell a story.

Pieces that feel beautiful, meaningful, useful, or inspiring.

Pieces that I would proudly give as gifts or welcome into my own home.

One of the greatest joys of this business has been helping women feel confident and celebrated.

I have watched customers discover an accessory that completes an outfit.

I have seen tea sets become wedding gifts and family treasures.

I have helped women prepare for conferences, special occasions, and important moments in their lives.

Again and again, I am reminded that what we choose to surround ourselves with matters.

Not because possessions define us.

But because they help us express who we are.

Today, The Travelling TeaRoom Boutique is about much more than products.

It is about beauty.

It is about hospitality.

It is about confidence.

It is about connection.

And perhaps most importantly, it is about community.

Over the years, a wonderful community of women has grown around the boutique. Through tea events, open houses, social media, newsletters, and friendships, I have been privileged to meet remarkable women who inspire me every day.

Some have been customers from the beginning.

Some discovered the boutique recently.

Many have become friends.

Together, we celebrate milestones, encourage one another through challenges, and share a love of beautiful things.

As the boutique continues to evolve, my vision remains the same.
