Refunds & Returns Policy
Overview
We want you to feel confident and comfortable shopping with The Travelling TeaRoom Boutique. If something isn’t quite right, please review our policy below.
Our return policy is 30 days from the date of purchase. If 30 days have passed, unfortunately we cannot offer a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return:
- Items must be unused, unworn, and in the original condition and packaging
- Proof of purchase is required
- Items must be returned within 10 days of receipt
Once we receive and inspect your return, approved refunds will be processed to the original method of payment within approximately 30 days. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
Please note:
Orders placed online cannot be cancelled or changed once shipped.
Non-Returnable Items
Due to the nature of our curated collections, the following items are final sale and not eligible for return or refund:
- Tea and Tea Collections
- Clothing, loungewear, scarves, shawls, hats, fascinators
- Belts, bra straps
- Purses and bags
- Note card stationery once opened or used
- Gift cards
- Autographed books or books showing signs of use
- All pierced earrings and jewellery of a pierced nature
- Bone china items (teapots, cups & saucers, mugs, Tea-for-One sets, etc.) showing signs of use
- Tea accessories (infusers, baskets, balls, etc.)
- Health and personal care items
- Items worn, altered, or damaged due to misuse
- Items tarnished by water, hairspray, perfume, or chemicals
- Items returned more than 30 days after delivery
- Items ordered in error by the customer
- Sale items (final sale)
Our Guarantee
Every item is carefully inspected before shipping.
If an item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 30 days of purchase. Upon return and inspection, we will:
- Replace the item, or
- Offer an exchange of equal value if a replacement is unavailable
No refunds are issued for defective items; replacements or exchanges only.

- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos of the defective item

Return Shipping
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs
- Shipping charges are non-refundable
- All returns must be prepaid (no C.O.D. deliveries)
- We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method
- We cannot guarantee receipt of returned items without tracking
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received your refund:
- Check your bank account again
- Contact your credit card provider (processing times vary)
- Contact your bank

Sale Items
All sale items are final sale and not eligible for refund or exchange.
Gifts
If an item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to the recipient, approved returns will be issued as a gift credit.
If the gift was shipped to the purchaser first, any approved refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
All gift returns are subject to this policy.

Canada
- Free shipping on Canadian orders over $200 (pre-tax)
- Orders under $200 ship at a flat rate
- Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days
- If an order cannot be fulfilled within this timeframe, we will contact you
- Free delivery available in Burlington, Ontario
United States & International Shipping
At this time, we are not shipping to the United States or internationally.
